SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION
SEO Goals and Objectives
Increase your search engine presence in the top search engines, Google, Yahoo! and MSN, for rankings, number of visitors and ultimately the sale/conversion of your products or services.
Plans that require a Goal and Objective Interview are designed to make sure all parties initially understand each others needs and requirements for the SEO project to succeed.
After Interview and initial review of the site an outlined Document of the SEO Plan objectives will be submitted to you for scheduling and knowledge of expectations.
On-going communications are important and will be conducted via telephone or email as necessary.
Site/Page Analysis and Assessment Document
An overall analysis is first done on your site to assess what is needed to best optimize it for the search engines. Based on this analysis, information on SEO issues is given to you that will include the necessary work to be done.
Depending on the Service Plan, there will always be email communication and your service may include a Website Assessment document in MS Word document form.
The Assessment document will include a write up and description of the SEO issues found on your Website. The document will also include a list of SEO Recommendations for remedying these issues along with an initial Prioritized List for addressing items for your convenience.
The Analysis may include, but is not necessarily limited to, information on: site or page design, page layout, navigation, inter-linking, general HTML coding, Flash/JavaScript/CSS coding, images and image information, broken links, meta tags, web copy, html validation, browser and resolution compatibility, loading times, search engine rankings, site statistics, creating error pages and redirects. All of the factors listed above have some influence in attracting search engine spiders and visitors to your site.
Keyword Research
One of the basic steps in search engine optimization is keyword research. Here valid keywords relating to the site and unique to your domain are determined. Keyword research is done to maximize the impact of search engine optimization. When your site ranks well, more relevant customers/visitors come to the site leading to an increase in conversions and hence income for the site. The accurate identification and careful selection of these important keywords and key phrases can make or break any web site or online business.
Research and selection for keywords will be based on search counts/validity as well as relevance to your website information, services and/or products.
Broken Links or Redirects
In the past, we have found issues such as broken links or incorrect redirects that seriously hurt a site’s rankings. If addressed sooner rather than later, we have seen immediate ranking improvements. If these or any other immediate issues arise, we will notify you immediately and not necessarily wait for formal documentation delivery.
Page Edits
Page edits are performed on a select group of pages determined by SEO Consultant. These pages are taken from the website as viewed by the search engine spiders. Any content changes should be reviewed by client as we believe them to be the true subject matter expert for the website.
Page Edits may include, but are not limited to changes to Title and Meta Tags, Headings, Text-based Content, Linking issues, Navigation, Coding Validations and other HTML coding changes or suggestions. The page edit number suggested for any given SEO Plan allows for possible additional quick-edits to be done if necessary to help the effects of a regular page edit.
Number of Page Edits may be extended and/or redone depending on the SEO affects on rankings.
Client should feel free to use these project page edits as examples to optimizing any and all other pages of their website.
Competitive Analysis
Online competitors may be different from regular, direct business or service competitors.
Online competition analysis helps us understand the online “environment” where you and other websites reside. We study and analyze the sites of your top online competitors, research the keywords for which they are ranked, and determine additional information or resources that will help you overcome their rankings.
Site Map Creation
The creation of an XML site map page enables SE spiders to better get information on all pages within your site. The correctly implemented XML feed is now currently accepted by the top search engines, Google, Yahoo! and MSN for recognizing your website pages.
Search Engine and Directory Submissions
Your site plan’s optimized pages are submitted by hand to all the major search engines, directories and some specialized directories. Not all SEs and Directories have the same rules for submission, therefore care will be taken to submit to the appropriate search engines by following their specific guidelines.
Monitor Website Rankings
Keywords selected for each plan are monitored for website rankings in the major search engines. Reports and information regarding rankings and ranking changes will be reported to you via MS Word Document and/or MS Excel Spreadsheet. Ranking reports are used by us to analyze page results and how to determine next steps for additional page edits or keyword changes.
Note that results in the Search Engines can vary from day-to-day based on the indexing factors that use multiple datacenters for website information and algorithm testing. We are at the “mercy” of the Search Engines. We know that our ethical and SEO best practice methodology will hold rankings stable if properly implemented. We also know what to do if sudden changes in rankings occur. Make sure you notify us if, for some reason, we are unaware of these sudden changes.
Web Site Statistics and Analytics Data
We will analyze your recent web site statistics and analytics data (if you have accounts and forward appropriate sign-on or access). This information can be extremely useful for information relating to Search Engine Marketing. With this information, we can better help with information for your marketing and ultimate conversion efforts.
On-going Research and Review
Continuous research and review will be an on-going process during all plan terms. Changes to search engine algorithms, updates to SEO methodologies and other issues affecting website rankings are continually researched and reviewed so that you get the most up-to-date information to help your website rankings.
